Video of Mike Mahler coaches some fighters in London

Happy Friday everyone, CJ Swaby just shared a video of Mike Mahler coching two british fighters in London. This should be a reminder to anyone looking for functional training. You have to find the right workouts that support your personal goals. As a beginner your focus should lie on general strength, endurance and power, but as you get better in the things you do you need specific training routines that support individual needs. Another keypoint is to find the right balance between specific and general excercises to stay healthy, develop your main strength, endurance and power and be prepared...

A barbell complex

Last weekend I ordered the Javorek complex conditioning book. I got introduced into Istvan Javorek's work by my friend Sabina The Barbell Princess" Skala when I attended the great Mike Mahler seminar I already talked about. Istvan directly responded and told me that his grandma lives in Hamburg and he plans to visit her next year. A great chance to meet an awesome coach I think. That stuff inspired me that much that I added a small little complex into my existing routine: 1. Heavy work BB Squat 3x5 Bench or Deadlift 3x5 (I switch between them from workout to workout) 2. BB Complex hanging...
